Service Learning Hours – Changes for Juniors and Seniors
Due to current restrictions in volunteering, the number of required hours for Juniors and Seniors to earn service learning cords has changed:
Seniors (class of 2022): 75 hours
Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen (classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025): 100 hours
All students at Skyline are encouraged to participate in this optional program to build up their volunteer hours, with Freshmen eligible to start earning volunteer hours after 8th grade promotion. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors should continue to volunteer and record their hours, submitting those hours on Skyline's Student Record of Community Service form when the form is complete.
This program runs from October 2021 through April 2022. We are no longer collecting forms for this school year. Please hang on to completed forms until the beginning of the next school year. Seniors who had submitted forms with eligible hours may collect their service learning cords when collecting their graduation gowns. If not sure, email servicelearning@skylineptsa.org to confirm receipt. Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors should hold on to their forms for the time being.
